Extended Sevice Plan won't cover microwave oven??

I have looked online and the highest price I can find for a RV microwave/convection oven is below $500.00
I read the sample policy for motorhomes and they are covered.
SO either there is a misunderstanding or smoke is getting blown to make you go away and not pursue your legitimate claim.


Coverage for range and oven assembly includes but is not limited to the following:

Gas
Electric
Convection, or Microwave units Burner assembly
Thermostat
Thermocouple
Burner valves
Ignition assembly
Power hood
PC board
Magnetron tube
Microwave touch pad
Circulating fan and motor
Connections and fittings

Covers all parts of the range and oven assembly, except the following:

Doors
Handles
Racks
Cabinets

Something that may be of some concern. Home microwaves tend to vent to the back.
RV microwaves to the top. So if you are going to put it in a cabinet with no clearance in the back, for it to vent. A home microwave may not work so well.

Went through this last year, ended up buying from camping world, you might check them for price.

We got a special insurance with the purchase of our Outback TT that covers the electronics, like television, radio, microwave.... Paid extra for it. Good for 5 years. I expect at 5 years and 1 day everything will all fall apart!

If your insurance was a "replacement" insurance, then yes! You need to replace it with the same item.

Pretty much the ONLY thing extended service plans cover (most all of them) is themselves and their profits...usually not much for the actual consumer.

You may find there are lots of things it won't cover? One reason I never buy them.

No extended service policies cover things that are likely to go bad. They are in the business to make money. Failures cost them money.
