I know this involves a Good Sam benefit but I think discussion might be valuable for all RVers. Here is what I see comparing the "Good Sam Swipe and Save" card against the "Pilot/Flying J RV Rewards" card;This is for the USA, the discounts vary in Canada."Good Sam Swipe and Save card"http://www.goodsamclub.com/pfj/$0.03 discount off each gallon of gasoline or diesel $0.05 discount off each gallon of propane fuel$2.50 off dumping fee (regularly $10)"Pilot/Flying J RV Rewards card"https://myrewards.pilotflyingj.com/rv_customer.aspx$0.02 discount off each gallon of gasoline$0.03 discount off each gallon of diesel$0.10 discount off each gallon of propane fuel$5.00 off dumping fee (regularly $10)The "Good Sam Swipe and Save" gives a penny larger discount on gasoline but loses when compared to the discount on dumping and LPG. The "Pilot/Flying J RV Rewards" card also gives other store and restaurant pricing and discount benefits.I use PNC Bank rewards Visa card for gasoline purchases which pays a reward of 4% at ALL gasoline stations. At a price of $3 per gallon that is a reward of $0.12 per gallon or $0.16 at $4 per gallon, which handily beats the "Good Sam RV Plus" charge card. I realize that not everyone has rewards cards so the Good Sam charge card may be an option for those people.Did I miss anything? Any thoughts/comments?

Is the Flying 'Rewards Card' the same as the Flying J 'Frequent Fueler'?

My FJ card was a part of FMCA membership. I need that membership for the other chapters where we also belong. Good Sam does not get me very much for more $/yr.Matt

Couple years ago I asked at a pilot station about the GS card. I was using my VISA card. Girl gave me form for RV rewards card. With that card and my VISA card I get more discount and no GS membership needed. They also have a professional trucker card. Available to anyone, even RVers, but discount is more for diesel. Biggest discount is large amount of diesel during a time period. I think 30 days. I would look more into that card if I had a diesel rig.

The RV Plus Charge Card offers the following discounts for Good Sam Club Members:

Good Sam Club Member
Gas: $0.04 off every gallon
Diesel: $0.06 off every gallon

Good Sam Life Member
Gas: $0.06 off every gallon
Diesel: $0.08 off every gallon

Good Sam Elite Member
Gas: $0.07 off every gallon
Diesel: $0.09 off every gallon

For all membership levels, the RV Plus Charge Card offers the following discounts on propane and dump fees as well:
Propane: $0.10 off every gallon
Waste Dump: $5.00 off $10.00 fee

The newest way to save is the Swipe & Save Good Sam Club Membership card which offers the following discounts for Good Sam Club members:

We use the Flying J RV Plus charge card when traveling. It gives the .06 discount on gas. Towing the toad the RV lanes makes it easy to refuel plus a lot of Pilot stations have large pump area. The card has a required code to use so less chance of having it compromised. Pay once a month by internet makes it so much easier with all the fuel and propane on one account.

What are you going to do for the millions of P-FJ customers that are not Good Sam members or simply choose not to have the Swipe and Save card? I find it hard to believe that all your non-Good Sam members will be told to go pound sand or join Good Sam?

Don't even get me started on the Good Sam RV Plus Charge Card. As I already pointed out, that thing is worthless to me. My 4% PNC Rewards card is far superior to the $.06 per gallon I could get with my life membership. I already get more than double the $.06.
