- maddczechExplorerThanks Rolln, for the most part, people chimed in and agreed on the continued lack of acceptable service. Then we have a few like you who sincerely seem to try to help, but not want to get involved, and understandably. And we have a savvy few who believe I should grin and bear it, that's just the way it works.
Thanks for the battle cry suggestion. I kinda like "the squeeky wheel gets the grease ", although I am madd as heck.
One thing about tire price .... you said the average price was about.... but then you state msrp .... and then we have what I should have paid, and a qouged price. We have prices all over the place ! The ridiculous margins is profound.
Again , I was sent here by another rver whom said this is the place to complain, this is the site where you will be heard. So this is the site where I shall continue to state my case. That case being the FACT that the overwhelming majority of posters of most complaints posted here at this site agree that customer service is hardly adequate and barely more than lip service. Whats fair and equitable hasn't really even come into vogue here to even "savvy " people. The consensus of some here is to continue to pay your dues and expect nothing in return. That's ridiculous. Just belonging to a club means nothing. I venture to say this club means simply a discount camp fee for the big rig and nothing more for many here .
And now I wait patiently for explanations and hope for equitable return of money double spent. - RollnhomeExplorerMy conclusion is...I don't have enough facts to come to a conclusion.
It is a conclusion that you could not get me involved with this for any amount.
I was a tire adjuster. Normally adjusted price is based on MSRP not what you payed or the sale price (that is where they get you).
You are not my customer nor do I represent you in any way. So I am not at all concerned about your "satisfaction".
Should you decide to riot may I suggest "I'm mad as he$$ and I'm not going to take it anymore" as your battle cry.
People here were trying to help. This is a pretty savey group. Give some thought to their opinions and offerings.
Good luck in your endeavor. - maddczechExplorerRolln, you demonstrate a strande way to bow out of the situation at hand.
You state no conclusion. yet I'm left with the knowledge that you were a tire adjuster.
I was a customer service representative and the resulting impression I get here is not the least bit satisfactory.
I guess I can't realky wonder why some people in Amerika are left with little choice than to riot huh ?
How long will everyone just bend over to corporate interests? Just think about it.... how long before everybody gets fed up ? Then what ? Shameful state of corporate affairs and attitudes and practices. - RollnhomeExplorerYou can't afford me :)
- maddczechExplorerHi Rolln, the amount put back in acct was 230, not 350 . That means I paid too much for my tire and the tire guy got a big tip ! Plus what does the 600 I paid for the plan do? Just there to sit on ? ;-)
No matter how you look at it poor extremely slow pricey questionable service practice.
I can't get pics on here but I can email them to you for an assestmrnt? What do you charge? Thanks - maddczechExplorerHi Rolln, the amount put back in acct was 230, not 350 . Good Luck with what you are trying to accomplish. - maddczechExplorerrolln, thank you.
First off , 5hrs to get the serice is unaccepable. Period ! Particularly since the provider was so close.
I believe I stated that tread was well over 3/32, making the tire absolutely eligible for the extended tire warranty program. Not that the Camping World rep even bothered to look at the tires and told us they were good to go.
The charge for the service csll was 195. Not including the tire. I believe my tire was well worth more than 30 $ ! I believe your average price stated may be just that. But this tire dealer involved was obviously gouging somebody, quoting one price to safeguard and bringing me a different tire than quoted. Then having to run across town to fetch correct tire.... Who knows what went on with the tire guy and the safeguard person after I was on my way ? This is what I am hoping to find out here.
Mind you, I have been darn near accused of running bald junk tires here and don't really appreciate that implication. I have been dragged thru mud here and don't care for several posters here either that assumed so much negativity on my part. I was called an a--hole by I guess a god of this site ! And I did not react appropriately in my replies.
All this said, I'm waiting for the reply from the man in charge. I will then make my decision as whether to accept or appeal the explanation of said claim.
So far after what is said and done, I would caution anyone stepping into a Camping World franchise store with intentions of purchasing a camping unit, to keep your eyes and ears WIDE open, and think twice about buying extended warranties. Make sure to read everything BEFORE SIGNING ! Ask questions. And don't get service work done at CW Chattanooga, you will regret.
I was told that by end of day today, we should have some action.
Today a rep called and apologized for the time it was taking to get all the info for claim. - RollnhomeExplorerJust playing with numbers. Average cost of your tire $175. Minius remaining wear 15% ($26) = $149 for new tire plus $200 service call. So about $350 total.
So if you paid $416 and was reimbursed 50% ($208) I can see where you may be approximately $142 ahead of the game. Am I missing something?
Do you think there should be a 100% reimbursement... The entire $416.
Just trying to understand your position and what the tire protection plan covers as far as wear vs adjustment replacement costs. - RollnhomeExplorerOops double post.
