1201 LRIM "no flame"

was in nice cool mountains and decided since AC not needed, would turn off generator and run my NORCOLD refer (s/n 1028663H) on gas. got the code "no flame". upon return to home, I have researched as much as could and have vacuumed the burner area, and blown air around the burner area. When I turn on the refer, it does the clicking and the igniter lights the gas. It is a good dark blue flame and the igniter continues to click. after about 15 seconds, it shuts off and I get the "no fl" code. some research I done says the mother board is bad. is there a way to test the mother board prior to spending a few hundred since i know electronics cant be returned once tried, or other items to test? runs great on A/C but plan on boondocking this year for LSU games so gotta fix the problem.

    thanks for the info, guys. guess I be using generator for little while. not prepared to spend 400 dollars for a board this month. Hopefully get her done within the next month though.

    The Spark electrode. So, you need a new main control board, but if someone has accessed the main control board and did NOT hold the Piezo Ignitor on the board secure, when pulling the spade terminal loose, it can pull the solder connections loose and the ac signal from the spark electrode to the Piezo tower will not be transmitted to the control board. Take the cover off the control board and see if the Piezo ignitor black tower moves or has any play when you wiggle it. If so, you can remove the board and resolder the 4 spots on the bak of the board and save the cost of a new board. Doug

    well i replaced the spark ignitor. didnt fix problem but new one looks nicer and sparks better . pilot lites with nice dark blue flame then shuts off after 10-15 secs. what component tells the refer that the pilot is lit? I cant find much in troubleshooting searches.

    If you have not run anything on propane for awhile it might simply be some air in the line. I have found that running the stove top for a few minutes solved the problem.

    Replace the Spark Plug wire FIRST. There are only 2 parts to the Flame.
    1. The control board which has the Piezo ignitor
    2. The Spark Electrode that includes the wire.
    3. If there is any debris on the burner, it may light but NOT send the ac current back to the control board that lets it know it has a flame.
    4. The USUAL failure is the Spark Electrode/wire assbly. Doug

    I had something similar to what you are having a few years back. I took it in to RV shop and they said the flu needed to be cleaned out. They blew it out with something and it worked after.
