2002 Monaco

I am looking at a 2002 Monaco DP close to me. Being only 3 yrs newer than our Holiday Rambler (same maker) it is 4' longer, diesel, 3 slides, and many other upgrades. It is @$60K. They are only offering $14K for ours (much less than we paid 2 yrs ago) so we are looking at a note. One of the upgrades is an item called "Aqua Hot Heat System". Salesman said it is akin to a tankless water heater for homes that runs off diesel. A Youtube video explains it with a little more detail. My question is why would someone pay $11,200 for this option? Seems like you would never recover that money with any savings.

Doubt there is any recovery for cost of system. I like the convience of it because you never run out of hot water no matter how mwny people take a shower. Start mine off with diesel then switch to electric.

The Youtube video says it works too a lot like in floor radiant heating. Not that its the same, but you really don't want a tankless water heater with kids. They can take long showers that more than wipe out any savings.

    But $11.2K!
