2003 Fleetwood Revolution - turn signal problems

My turn signals and hazard flasher do not work today. I checked the fuse that the schematic shows as "Turn Signal 10A" and it is not burned out. That is in fuse/relay Box 1 in exterior compartment of driver's area. What else can I check? Thanks.

  • My Revolution has a similar issue. If my RV sits for a week or more, my signals also don't work. But what I have found out is, as soon as I start rv, I turn signal on and leave it on until it starts flashing. Usually takes 3-5 minutes, but it will eventually turn on. From that point on it works every time until the rig sits again for a week or more not being used.

Go to the battery compartment. There is a fuse box on back wall there as well.
  • I have a '94 Fleetwood Bounder and didn't have stop lights or hazard signals. the solution was to replace the fuse which was, lo and behold, under the dash. Just lift it up (it's on hinges). Those lights now work okay.
  • i would check the bulb first(or the led) if that(they) have burned out, it can also do as you describe.
  • Palisades,
just wondering, what kind of rig, engine, drive train, diesel-gas, what? More info might help someone help you. Second, do you have "Amber" turn signals on the rear of your coach or Red ones? If you have just red ones, you'll have a two filament system and, to check to see if part of the circuit is working, apply the brakes and see if they light up back there. If they do, you've got part of the circuit working. It's just the turn signal and four-way system that's inop.

Not probable but remotely possible is the fact that you may have burnt out both flashers, I doubt it though. Sometimes the switches get dirty contacts in them. I've had that happen more than once. You'll have to get out a 12V test light and start checking power at various points in the four-way and turn signal circuits. If the fuses are good and, by the way, do check both sides of the fuse with the 12V test light. Sometimes, rare but, can happen, the contacts in a fuse base get dirty or slightly corroded and your continuity is broken down.

Let us know what you find so that others (with the same possible chassis/coach) may learn.
