2004 Coachmen Concord 235

I'm looking at the above B+ unit, if my old B sells before it's sold. The unit has 21.5K miles and appears to be in very good condition, though I haven't driven it. It's listed at $32K at a dealer.

I know it needs tires and a windshield. Is there anything else, other than changing lubricants and filters, I should take care of before taking it on a trip to Alaska this summer?

Thanks for any suggestions.

  • Don,

Coach is good on the road. Mine had about the same mileage when bought. Have put another 6k on it since. I checked the belt and hoses after I bought it. If you have a Ford Dealer near by that services trucks you could have them check the various items out. Probably the biggest issues I have had are with plastics that have sat in the sun/heat. Had to replace the plastic panels in the screen door, various knobs and such, and the tail lights leaked, replaced those as well.
Otherwise it has been good. MPG is about 9.8 to 10.

  • Hi Kurt,

How is the coach on the road? What is the mileage on your unit. I'm wondering if rubber things like hoses and the serpentine belt should be changed due to age. With so few miles on the coach I'm looking at, they should be ok if mileage is the only consideration.

  • Hi,

I have a Concord 275DS that I bought used as well. Pretty much check all the maintenance items. Probably new oil and a radiator flush. Mine had sat for awhile and I needed to go through the brakes, new pads and fluids.

Best of luck. Its a good unit, we love ours.
