2008 Itasca Suncruiser 33V

I am interested if anyone owns a 2008 Itasca Suncruiser and if you added any after market changes to improve the ride. The steering is good but a little "loose". Also on a rough road, train track, etc. we get a lot of rocking/tipping back and forth. We are happy with the MH thus far but would like to make some improvements to the ride/handling. Any info you can provide would be appreciated
  • I just replaced the front shocks on my 2005 Winnebago Voyage 33V (W-20 Chassis). Original shocks were Bilsteins. Replaced them with the new Bilstein shock which has a much improved valving system. The improvement in the ride was significant. Probably the best money we have spent on the motorhome. No more bone jarring jolts when you hit expansion joints and rough roads.
  • I have 2007 workhorse w22 chassis added roadmaster front say bar and trackbar made a nice improvement in body sway
  • Workhorse W or P chassis.

    Easy to tell:

P chassis front suspension is independent-- looks like a Chevy truck.

W chassis has solid front axle.

So suspension upgrades are VERY different.

Also, have you had the wheel positions (best) or axles weighed?

Have you set your tire pressures based on your tire manufacturer's recommendations for that actual weight-- if individual wheel weights, use the heavier wheel position to go to your tire manufacturers PSI table. If, for example you are 20 PSI overinflated, you ride will be terrible.
