2013-2016 Newmar Dutch Star LED taillights

I wanted to change my rear taillights to LED. You can now buy taillight assemblies with multiple LEDs built in rather than just changing the bulbs. The Newmar Dutch Stars use a 2008 Jeep Commander taillight lens which is no longer popular with Jeeps. I searched the internet for a week and couldn't find what I was looking for. I did find a company that would take your current lenses and install LEDs for about $300.00. Needless to say I just went with the LED bulbs.

Recently, this was being discussed on another forum and one of the members found what I couldn't, a retailer selling Jeep Commander taillights with the LEDs built in. They're $150.00 for the pair which is not cheap, but not unreasonable. They plug and play with your current connections. They work without affecting your other lights or cruise control. The back up light still uses your regular bulb.

  • Jerry...This company will convert your stock lenses to LED, but they're pricey, about $300.00. It just worth it to me to pay that much.

Many are also taking the multi LED assemblies out of the Harbor Freight lights and installing them inside of their stock lights.

  • I would like to change mine to LED but when I contacted Bargman they said they do not make them for my Monaco.
  • I changed mine to led. Makes my 1998 look a little newer. Why he heck did CC use so many lights!
