Anyways where mine was open your bay doors you will find two WHITE screw tight vents, they will be vertical unscrew each of them, behind there you will find your bypass and your low point. Mine also was not in the book.
I have the same year/model and we love it. Like you, I had to do a little self education. Opened various access holes and crawled underneath, etc. Its all there and easy to access once you find it.
