2014 Georgetown XL

Have two question. Sold a Fleetwood Bounder and now have a 2014 Georgetown XL 377TS.

1. I can not find the low point drains.

2. I also can not find the hot water bypass valve. Have looked every where.

They were easy to find on the Bounder.

Any help would be appreciated. Dealer was not much help.

Thanks in advance,

John

As to the low point drains: On our 2012 Georgetown, the low point drains are just below where the water pump and water tank are located. If you don't find them there, I would crawl under it (there is surprisingly a lot of room under these things to move around, once you get down there), and have a good look around. Look along the sides close to the edge, thats where the drains will probably be. You're looking for two hoses/pipes dropping down, with caps on the end you can take loose to drain things out.

on my TT one is white and the other is red.

its possible your unit has neither. I mean the bypass is usually/always near the water heater and that should be accessible.

Doubtful. the XL series of Georgetowns have pretty much all the extra 'bells and whistles'. I'd be VERY surprised if they skimped on something as simple as a water heater bypass or low point drains.

Look all around your water heater, follow out the water lines going into it as far as you can. There should be a bypass line between the two lines at some point, with a couple valves around it. Owner's manual may or may not be any help, they don't always have information that specific in there.

  • Call the factory.
I'm sure they will be able to help you out.

Look again in the manuals. Both of mine (1999 fleetwood and 2008monaco) have listed this info in the plumbing section under winterizing.

  • Wasn't the info in your manual? If you didn't get a manual contact the manufacturer. Dealers are supposed to go through that stuff on delivery. Many of the manuals were missing from my MH. I downloaded some and had to contact manufacturer for the main manual.
