Was hoping that someone has experience with this model or similar? It is a 1.5hr drive to the dealer and since we purchased they have switched from a "family" owned company to CW, not quite as friendly or helpful..Anyway, when I push the slide out button it doesn't do anything, nothing. When pressed and held a second time it moves in or out and is straight and goes to it's full extend or retract position but when it stops, I can press the button again and get just a little more out of it. When I first took it home and ran the slide it would go with the first push and then made a clicking noise when it was at full extend or retract, nothing like this now.Any thoughts or experience with this sort of thing?Thanks!

Maybe a loose wire into the switch...can you pull the switch and check the connections?That's where I would start.Next...battery fully charged?

We have a 2018 VistaLX 27N. Engine needs to be running. Yes I have found that sometimes you need to press the switch for a second time to get things moving. Don't know if that is normal or not. Once the slide is moving either in or out, keep holding the switch for a few seconds after movement stops. This allows to motors to re sync. We have 3 slides and one of them had a clicking noise. Took it in for warranty service and they said they found a piece of plastic that was clicking in the track. They cut it back and noise went away.

Mine is older. However the calibration method I was given is to run it out and hold button 10 seconds after stop if it is getting all the way out. When putting your slide out try to always get it all the way out continuously pushing the button. If I remember correctly intermittent "out" with the button weakens the calibration. Press and hold. Good Luck.

Thanks for the pointers. I will try a couple things mentioned, just not sure there was anything wrong as it does go all the way in and out and square, it just doesn't act right by the button. Yes the battery is charged and this happens when plugged in.

Two theories: one is dirty switch (Disconnect all 12 volt power and operate switch 50 times or so)2nd Theory.. I think LCI to increase profit uses 2nds for the motor.. The result is the motor has "Dead Spots" where if it's stopped there. NO JOY (Same for Accu-Slide by the way) and sometimes it takes a few tries to hit a "hot spot" where it will work.NOTE. IF you can monitor DC current. easiest way to do this is try to put slide in/out with lights on and shore/generator power OFF.. lights will dim if the motor is sucking current.> BIG TIME IF IT IS STUCK. Controller on some (Power Gear and Accuslide for sure) cuts off if current gets high enough so that too can be the issue.

We just purchased a Winnebago Forza and were told Winnebago does the two-push on many buttons for safety, so slides can’t be easily operated by children. Also told the engine should be running when operating slides for optimum power.

We have a 2019 Winnie Sunstar and that is how our slides always operated. We were told at the dealer that is the way they work. I.e., the first press does nothing, you need to press the button again to start the slide. They had no idea why this was so. But were very familiar with it having to be done this way.

So I am fairly sure it's a Schwintek slide, I will go check it out tonight.. The reality is that it works consistently the same always, there is nor switch or current draw problem. If the extend is pressed I get nothing, then on the second press it will extend and the same with the retract function. As I stated in my first post, when it was new (the first 4 or so times) it would extend/retract on the first push and after reaching full motion and holding the button past that, you would here a click. I was told when I picked it up on the walk through that you should hold the button until you hear the "click" and to never stop the slide until it has reached its limit and you hear the click.

You need to state what type slide if you can find out. Slides are not all the same. From your description and operation it may be a Schwintek slide room. Your description points to a normal operation for a Schwintek. IF trying to extend and nothing happens, but you then push retract and you hear see the room tighten up and then you push extend and it goes out, that is normal for a schwintek as it sometimes "loses" its memory on when it last operated--extend or retract. To get an answer to your question requires which brand/model of your slide room. Doug

I believe your slides are powered by your chassis/engine battery not your coach/house battery. When plugged in, the charger does not charge your chassis/engine battery.
Also, I believe your MH engine must be running when operating your slides. Sounds to me like you have a voltage issue.
