Hi,
One must consider dual tire spacing on the rear tires. You probably have space for an extra 1.5" wider tire in the front, but in the back the tires will sit about 1.5" closer together. Do you have that much extra space in the back, and still have 1" to keep the tires apart at the bottom, say when you have hit a nail, and one tire has lost 20 PSI pressure? If the tires rub against each other, you can find that you need to replace both of them!
I would stick with Michelin or go with Toyo tires. Avoid the 'cheap' brands. Also consider a vacation to Washington. The weather is great, and tire prices might be much more reasonable. It might save enough to pay for all that diesel fuel to get here.
Be sure to call the tire dealer, and state that you will not accept any tires more than 1 year old, and will be looking at the date codes. Then they will also check the date codes, and if they do not reduce the price by at least 15% for each year old, walk away from the 'deal' that will require you to replace the tires in only a couple of years. . .
Good luck,
Fred.
