I just started getting this problem the last time we were out on a trip on a long hill it wants to start climbing in temp not boiling over but enough to make you worry. I thought bottom hose might be sucking shut change both and bypass new radiator last year fan clutch feels ok. Im open for suggestions so i dont spend a bundle on swapping parts thanks.
Take a look at a National product and see how they put curtains on each side of the engine, thereby directing the air flow over the exhaust manifold and plug wires. I've noticed a tremendous difference in our now National vs our old Fleetwood. Biggest problem with most is to what's happening with the transmission temp. and one should probably have a gauge installed, since most chassis and/or coach manufactures never deemed it important. Hopefully the ECM on the later ones will send the rig into limp mode long before there's any damage to the transmission on heavy hard pulls and I can say that our coach doesn't like the Jeep back there during steep long pulls. Otherwise it's fine in mountain terrain, including the Rockies.
