AC Unit quit working

I have two AC units the larger main unit was replaced with new unit 3 years ago. Has been working great. A week ago I started generator and ran both AC units and everything was great, yesterday I started smaller unit and then tried to start main AC and I can hear thermostat click on and generator slow down a little like AC unit is energized but will not blow out air, help?
What does this sound like?

    Sounds like a start capacitor gone bad or a stuck fan motor.
    For beginners, try spin starting it with the power applied, using a screw driver or other and for keeping your hands and fingers out of the way. At the same time you'll know if it's free turning or tight to the feel.
