Allied Insurance

I had Progressive for the last three years for my Essex and my policy went from $3,700 last year to $4,700 this year for a renewal. Called River City Ins up in Iowa and got a quote for $2200. Same coverage. Found out my cars and atv's are already insured through Allied, which is a division of Nationwide. Go with it.

Are you insuring one coach or a fleet of them? I mean that's insane to say the least. We have State Farm at present and pay $512 a year for full coverage. We've even had a claim with them and couldn't ask for better treatment concerning it. Now, next year, it'll be about time to go shopping again and the only way to keep insurance premiums down IMO. It just seems like the longer you're with a company, the more you pay and like most, the best deals are offered to new customers.

I'm not he only one with high premiums.

Just make sure you read all the disclaimers, waivers, and deductibles. A price that looks good may not have the coverage you need and cost you thousands out of pocket!

My Wife runs the insurance brokerage I'm getting it from. She just called back and an agreed cash value policy with Allied is going to be $1676.27 with $1000 deductibles. Insurance is insurance. They are all out to put the screws to Ya.

Anyone else with Progressive find out your premiums are high? When I questioned them about it they said I couldn't beat them on my 3 motorcycles. I said that who ever gets my Rv gets the Harley's.


MY mistake, $500 deductibles

I don't recall hearing much of Allied Insurance up in my area. I have always had State Farm for my home and cars, but found Progressive to be the least expensive with a line by line coverage comparison to what State Farm quoted me for the motorhome. Progressive was almost half the price. My annual bill for Progressive should be arriving in about another month. I'm curious to see how much, if any, my premium goes up this year.

I would prefer NOT to deal with Progressive, but they in fact have been the lowest premium for my coverage requirements. I have to admit though, that they have been very easy to deal with when needed.

Allied is part of Nationwide insurance. If it's nationwide, I'm sure it is up in NY. Google it and put in your zipcode.


If you were paying me 2 1/2 times what everybody else is charging, I'd be easy to deal with too.

I have Allied on my house and they seem to be pretty good insurance.

OK. So, where did you get that I'm paying "2-1/2 times what everybody else is charging", when I clearly said that Progressive was almost half the price of what State Farm wanted for that same coverage? :h
