I'm still working on insurance with our broker (Hi Sage Insurance)and got a quote from Allied that is ~$800.00/yr less than our existing carrier National Interstate. They still don't allow suspending collision and comprehensive while in storage but this is a significant savings.Working on the tried and true assumption that anything to good to be true probably isn't I figured I would check to see what experiences others have had with Allied.That is with our $500.00 deductible which I can raise to $2500 while in storage and save another $250 for the six months of storage.Any input would be appreciated.

FWIW, I had Allied insurance on our S&B. They gave me low rates and no hassle. Whenever I had a question it was answered quickly and professionally.

We have Allied insurance on car, truck, & 5er. When we had an incident with the car. We dealt with adjuster from Nationwide and the check had Nationwide on the letter head. Allied is a division of Nationwide. The treatment we received from the insurance company was fast & professional. We are happy with them

We also have Allied. No claims. The best price for our needs and backed by Nationwide.

Allied is part of Nationwide Insurance, one of the largest US insurers. They merged operations back in 1998. Allied is sold through independent agents. Nationwide is sold through company agents. They are essentially the same company, just separate methods of selling the same products under different names. They share the same corp parent and financial resources.

Have Allied and they do not suspend coverage while in storage. Having said that Allied was about $1k cheaper than the other two companies I priced.

Had Allied on vehicles. Prompt and thorough Claims assistance on our only event.

Progressive now has all my insured assets (by their Umbrella demand) and is marginally cheaper. No claims experience.

Have Allied for two years. Even after I reported a previous claim their price was $1,000 less than my prior RV insurer, GEICO.
