I meant I was paying twice as much. Sorry I didn't say me. Give Allied a call for a quote just to keep Progressive honest, even if yours isn't due yet. I was surprised at the difference. I had Modern American back in 2010 but they quit insuring RV's. I had Progressive for 2012 until 4-2014. Went from $2700 to
,$3700 and now if I paid it up front $4785 for 2014. I've got 21 different policy's on an assortment of toys. I was letting my wife take care of them.. No more. I shop her price too.I found out Wive's don't really have time for there husbands.
State farm only sells State Farm. An independent brokerage will shop for your best price. My best price was Allied.Still negotiating. I have to have my RV appraised for an Agreed price policy. Worth the $200 bucks.
Call River City Insurance in Iowa, that's who I called and they gave me a quote. That's when my wife let me know she brokers Allied also. Just TOO busy. You don't have to buy insurance where you live.(not like health insurance)
RE-Read first thread.
Oh,ok. I see.
Since my premium with Progressive will be due in a couple of months, I may just look into Allied Insurance and see what they quote in comparison. I also may go back to State Farm and see if my agent can do anything for a lifetime customer of their Auto and Homeowners insurance (Yea. I know. Wishful thinking).
I'm curious to see if there will be a significant increase in
my premium with Progressive this year. I won't know until around the beginning of May when I get the bill.
