A PACER?????? Now, THAT was an UGLY car! Lol...
I resemble that remark!;) I had one...1976...I was the only one on the block with one....took a LOT of flak the first time I drove it to work! Actually was a very comfortable car and built like a tank. My daughter loved it and drove it daily to a local college. Finally broke the timing chain at well over 100k miles.
I also had not 1, not 2, but 3 Pintos! Kids loved them and no one ever died in one. :B All three lasted a long time.
Lastly, that pic of the modded PT 'Chevy' is insulting! :R I had 2 '57 Chevys, a convertible and a Nomad wagon.
Glad you had good service from your Pacer. Evidently, I wasn't the only one that thought they were ugly. Lol.
As far as Pinto's go, as long as you didn't get hit in the rear end, they would run a long time.
What's that they say? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery? When I was young, I had variety of 57 Chevy's. A 2 door hard top, a 2 door sedan, a convertible, a 4 door station wagon. Probably had a couple of more, but that's all I can think of now.
I also had at least 4 or 5 Corvairs. Contrary to popular opinion, I enjoyed driving them as well. Even with some, ah, shall we say, less than cautious driving, I never wrecked one.
As with all cars, there were a few things that were less than ideal, but, I like them, just the same, with the 57 Chevy being my favorite.- Bill_SatelliteExplorer III almost bought a Pacer as my first new car. OK, maybe not the prettiest, but it was actually an awesome riding car. Very comfortable due to the wide wheel base but it was probably like driving a greenhouse when you where in hot weather. I ended up buy an AMC Ambassador (which everyone hated as well) and loved it. I am not (and neither is the DW) a fan of the PT cruiser but my choice were so far outside the norm that I completely understand why someone makes the car choices that they do.

Had a long computer call this morning. I managed to take a picture tonight, but don't really feel it's worth posting, so I think I'll just wait until tomorrow.
See ya tomorrow. - Now here's something you can do with a PT. All you need is a person who is good with body work.

Not really a fan of the PT Cruiser. For some reason, it reminds me on an AMC Pacer. To each their own, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Had some irises we decided to get rid of so I mowed them every time I cut the grass. Figured that would do it. They came right back the next year. Gotta respect a plant with that kind of perseverance. They are now allowed to grow unmolested.

Years ago, I mowed off a couple of Maple tree plantings, accidental at first, and then on purpose. Couldn't kill 'em. Both of those things grew up into HUGE trees.
Years later, I got to cut one of them down.- STBRetiredExplorerNot really a fan of the PT Cruiser. For some reason, it reminds me on an AMC Pacer. To each their own, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

What about the flowers? What kind were they and will they survive?
They are Iris's. They are in pretty good shape, and will survive just nicely.
Thanks.
Funny back story. Years ago, I was working on a house, and we had some mums planted at the one end of the house. 3 different plants of mums, all the same color - yellow.
Due to some spring construction, we ended up trampling all over one of those mums, during a work day, while it was wet.
My wife was really upset by the end of the day, telling me that we had killed her one mum plant.
I told her not to worry, as it would survive, and might even thrive. She didn't believe me.
By the time fall came around, that mum plant that we trampled all over, was 3 times larger than the other 2, which were not trampled on.
I told her, it gave the plant time to grow bigger roots, which would support a larger plant. (I don't know. I know very little about plants, but it sounded good)!
We've had a running joke about that mum plant ever since. Had a lot of laughs over the years.
NO, that does not give you permission to stomp all over your wifes plants, OK?PastorCharlie wrote:
Is the pipe ok?
That's what I really enjoy about this group. Someone always comes up with a different point of view, that is just really funny. I like it!
Unless the goal, (it wasn't), was to bend the pipe into a 90 degree angle, then no, it's not alright. Lol.
Thanks for the laugh.RLS7201 wrote:

Glad you weren't offended. One thing about Pt Cruisers. People either love 'em or hate 'em. I fall into the love 'em group.
I also like the looks of the Woody trim.
Thanks!
