Anyone towing Ford 150 with 43 ft

No extension on mine. In fact, I think the tow bar insert to the receiver is too long. Looks like plenty of room between the coach and the F-150 while towing. Take a look at the photo in my signature, above.

I flat tow my 2012 Ford F-150 4x4 everywhere and love it. Now that the Honda CRV is no longer towable, I'd say the Ford F-150 is the best choice for towing.

It's got plenty of room and a big bed in back for bringing the bikes and maybe a golf cart (don't have one yet). We've even gone off road in it on two separate and occasions and tested it's off-road capabilities. Once in Joshua Tree National Park and another time in NM. The only downside is the weight. Mine weighs 6,200 pounds empty but as someone mentioned, the new ones are made of aluminum and have lost 600 - 750 pounds. The truck is so heavy that it affects my on-ramp acceleration time and I can not get up to highway speeds when I'm towing before reaching the end of the on-ramp.

Are you looking at a new Ford F-150? I think the cut the weight by something like 1000 pounds with the use of aluminum in the body.

We tow F150 with 900lb golf car in the bed at times. It tows just fine although you have to hold your mouth just right to get the neutral tow to engage. Recently I have had to go through the steps 3 times to get it to engage.

It must be 4x4 with neutral not the push button that has no neutral. Friends had to do driveshaft disconnect because they had the auto button.mtowed well with 45 ft Monaco.

The info given above is correct for a Ford 4 wheel drive F150 as long as it is a 2012 or newer. I have pulled mine ever where between Key West and Fairbanks and you can't tell it's behind you unless you look at the monitor.

The F150 needs to be 4WD to be towable with the above posted directions
