We have a 4X4 Phoenix Cruiser. Although we do see some other 4X4 rigs out on the beach we don't see too many. Just wondering how many others are on here. If you do surf fish or go offroad and air down, how far down to you take your tire pressure?
Whole bunch of us over in the slide in truck camper forum :B
haha, yes I know that's where the majority of 4X4 guys will be. My buddy we travel with is a slide in camper guy. Main reason we got our rig, but we wanted our dogs within reach and needed the extra room. One of our pooches is on the bigger side of the spectrum. - arto_waExplorer

I was lucky to pick this up from the original owner who ordered it with every possible option available. I've been doing some modifications here and there to make it my own, but its very well equipped.
Does that mean that it was offered as an option by Phoenix and it wasn't a custom job? I never saw that option when I was shopping.
PS: I fixed my post to get the photo of my Provan working.
Yes you had to order the QuadVan option and have it sent to them for completion of the 4X4 system. Super Duty axle, LSD and 17" wheels. Also a full onboard air suspension for the rear. It's a pretty crazy setup. - DragonflyExplorer

4x4 for some 40 odd years. (Some odder than others.)
Our current beast, a 2013 Malayan Tiger incorporates just about everything we have learned.

Wow. We had your twin, a 23 foot Dynamax Carrigo, identical in layout to the Phoenix. I have never seen a 4x4 version. Did you have that done custom?
Right now we were very fortunate to acquire a Provan Tiger built on a F350 4x4 chassis. We could never afford one new but got a great price from an estate on a 2011 with only 7,000 miles.
We haven't used it much yet but it is mostly for backroads like National Forest roads and Public Lands and for pulling over to take photographs and finding you are on wet, soft slippery soil, etc.
Beach visits are a possibility too.

Nice rig! Where was that picture taken?
Island Beach State Park, NJ
I knew it! The southern end of Island Beach is my favorite place at the Jersey shore. VERY nice rig!!!
Down by the Jetty, the inlet is a great spot. - SweetWaterSurprExplorer

Nice-looking rig! You really have 6 wheel drive, great for sand.
I am on my second 4x4 RV. Been driving them since 1991. First was DRW, current one is SRW. Rarely to the beach, mostly desert and dirt roads. Have never aired down.
A 4x4 RV is an RV with extra talents, but it is not a rock-crawler.
For sure I don't plan on any serious crawling, I have a 3rd Gen 4Runner for that. We did head out to a buddy's cabin past Renovo PA a few weeks back. His spot is way up a steep hill and without 4WD you just aren't going to make it. Crawled up easily in this rig - jfkmkExplorer
