are there Electric stoves or just gas?

wanting to remove our gas stove / oven and replace it with electric, but I can find any. Wondering if this is even something they make. My wife still does not like the idea of the build in gas system so Im trying to convert things over to electric.

  • We just downsized to a Winnebago Via 25T and we decided to buy a small induction cooktop for about $80. Works great, but the pans cost $180! It really works well, and I think it is safer than having the gas cooker going in our small space. Also save lpg, which is another consideration in a 25' motorhome.
  • Is the "build in gas system" really less safe than the built-in gasoline system? Nothing will tell you if you have a gasoline leak but the LP detector will tell you if you have a propane leak.
  • We use a Brevelle convection oven for everything from pizza to roast beef. We also often use a single burner hot plate that works just fine as well.
  • Gas is the preferred cooking method of nearly every great Chef in the world. Why do you not like gas stove? They are more efficient and can be used when not plugged into shore power.
  • Some of the newer motor homes are all electric so I can only imagine they have electric ovens as I can't imagine they would do without. Look at a all electric model and note what type, brand and model number they have. JMO
  • Many RV people who want to use electric appliances for cooking just bring along toaster ovens, crockpots, twin hot plates, microwaves, George Foreman grills and/ or electric skillets. Use indoors or out. Many RVs have outdoor outlets, or you can even just put a small table next to the campground electric post and plug into an outlet.

You might affect your re-sale value if you takeaway propane cooking capability, so you might hold off on ripping it out and give those alternatives a try for a while.
  • You can get 2-3 burner induction cooktops which are all electric. They can also pretty pricy, so shop around different stores. Make sure you get one that's 120V.

As for the oven part, you'd most likely have to move to a Micro/Convection Oven combo for the simplest.
