It is not a problem. If your engine temp gets too high climbing, just pull over. Most diesels cool down in a couple of minutes. Leave the engine running, do not turn it off. You will be back on the road in a short time. Going down, use your exhaust brake if you have one and go slow. We never worry about how slow we may climb or go down a grade. We can easily be seen by the other drivers, but we do use our flashers once we drop to 45 mph. Out West you will see plenty of other RVs & Trucks taking it slow. Have fun and good luck!
