Asbestos in RVs

Do you have a functioning CO monitor? CO poisoning causes flu like symptoms, of course it also leads to reddish skin tone. Low level continuous poisoning may not kill you right away, but it can lead to confusion.

Not likely at all, but worth considering!

Also check for a bad heater. A crack heater core, can cause a lot of issues.

You can get dyi test kits everywhere just do a quick search. First Alert sells one, and I think home Depot does too. I had a mold issue after a water intrusion problem at our cabin, I don't remember the name of the cleaner I used but it was chlorine based. It made the black mold disappear before your eyes. My problem was on vertical walls, yours may be more complex with nooks cranies, and upholstery.

Asbestos would take decades to affect you I believe. Also It has been banned as another said since the mid 70's

California may not license their home inspectors but Washington State, where the OP is located, has licensing requirements. The inspector should have all of the equipment needed to test for mold, and other things that may be present in any residence.
They also have ozone generator that are pretty good for removing odors and killing most bacteria in a structure. These are used after a fire to remove odors, etc.

It's probably not asbestos.
But if it's a '96 you might want to replace the mattress and bedding if they are original. Also any carpet. Then look for mold/mildew. Check all the wet areas, shower, under sink, toilet area. If you discover the blackish mildew anywhere, then mix up a 50/50 mix of water and Clorox and spray the area thoroughly, caution do not get on any fabric.
Then, don't overlook any roof/wall areas where you may have had a leak. If you have water stains on the ceiling, then you may have mildew growing between the headliner and the roof. Check it all out and hopefully you will find the culprit.

Asbestos first need to be disturbed to become airborne and go on your lungs.
Mold is overused world and is scarring lot of people, but I like mold on my cheese and know that even if you see mold growing around your windows, it doesn't have to be immediate danger. Fungi is what everyone has in his house somewhere and when you let it go too far, it will affect the air as well.
I would inspect furnace and ducts inside.

As 10forty2 said. Exposure to asbestos fibers floating in the air has no immediate short time effects. They show up years later as asbestosis and/or mesothelioma. Something else is causing your illness.

Asbestos has not been used in construction since the early 1970s. Plus, asbestos does not make you sick immediately. The damage takes years.

More likely the problem is mold, or leftover pet dander. Check all your storage spots and accessible areas for wet or molded spots. Give the entire rig a thorough cleaning. Consider removing all the fabrics---carpet, cushions, drapes, etc. and replacing with linoleum and new fabric.
