Autos or RVs parking lot

When you pull into a Rest Stop or park at a National Park do you use the Autos parking lot or the RVs parking lot?
Thanks

Although sometimes it depends on how crowded each area is; how crowded the truck parking area is; and, how much thoroughfare space there is between the set of auto parking spaces. If the signage says "Trucks /RVs", I'll park there, although I'll pull up to front-most limit so there is room behind me for another smallish RV.

I figure either one is ok, and do whatever works best. My minivan is a common model for 'car' usage.

  • when it says "trucks or vehicles with trailers" I go that way if I have a truck or am pulling a trailer. If I had a van that would fit in a car spot and I didn't have a trailer in tow I would not go where it says vehicles with trailers.
