Beads will only do STATIC balancing. For front tires you need both STATIC & DYNAMIC balancing, which can only be accomplished with a spin balancer.

I don't understand what you mean. what is the difference in static and dynamic balancing? Seems like beads in the tire are by definition dynamic, as the wheel is spinning as they find their home.
It means he doesn’t understand physics. Beads/Centramatics ARE dynamic balancers.

Richard - RCMAN46ExplorerI have mine spin balanced. Then I add balance beads and as such never have had the tires re-balanced as the beads take care of any unbalance caused by tire wear.
- journey_indianaExplorerSpin balance. The beads/centramatics will cover up any problem that you might have with the tire or the rolling hardware. Most quality tire shops only use the beads in emergency situations, when changing a tire out on the highway, where a spin balance isn't possible.
Good Luck,
Journey Indiana - rgatijnet1Explorer IIIIf you use the balancing beads, make sure they use the ones for the RV tires which DO NOT need special valve cores. The beads can also be reused in the next set of tires.
- AirdaileExplorerIf they offer you Equal, make sure they put the correct valve stems in to filter out the sand.

Times 2. Had mine for several years over 3 sets of tires and never a problem. - DFordExplorerI'm not sure what size tires but I prefer to have my tires balanced the "Vibration Control System" made by Hunter Engineering. The GSP9700 is a road force wheel balancer that tests the tire for high or hard spots on the tread. Most new car dealers use them to balance the tires on their vehicles. Many truck tire shops also use them. I've tried the CentraMatics without any luck - they're setting in my garage now - wasted money. I dislike the idea of throwing bags of crystals/beads inside tires to balance them - every time you start, the beads have to redistribute themselves as you get going.
