Baterry Disconect Switch Not Working

1999 Georgie Boy Maverick, Ford F450. The Intellect BD0 disconnect switch is no longer working. I traced the wiring to the solenoid on the drivers side fire wall, however there is another solenoid in the mix also. I found a firewall wiring diagram taped under the hood that shows the 2 relays but is all but useless, faded. It is a Georgie Boy diagram and has OFC-0157 at the lower right corner. Where can I find this diagram?
Thanks
Wayne
  • The two relays are 1. battery disconnect and 2. relay to connect house and chassis batteries together for charging or boost in starting.

Disconnect the hot wire from the house battery and unplug from shore power. Check the large studs on both relays. The relay to connect the two battery banks will still have a hot lug because the chassis battery is still connected.

The relay with NO hot lug is the one you are interested in. Now, you can test the switch to see if it is passing power. If it is, you can test the relay to see if it is working.
  • The intellitec solenoid has fuses on both sides - that's the first item I would check.

Couldn't find any ref to your numbers OFC-0157...

This is the Intellect BDO System used in another setup that might look something like yours...

This was all discussed by SNOWMAN9000 back in 2012 which additional info

    SNOWMAN9000 thread...

Might be something good to read...
Since you have something that comes from Intellitec give them a call...

I would just start looking online with all the info you have and see what comes up. This was just searching for Intellect BDO System

  • I will be tagging and testing today. Thanks for the input and wish me luck. Wayne
  • Thanks for the help, I found a broken etching on the BD0 circuit board, it was the 12+ input to the switch.
