Bilstein steering damper
To replace the original steering damper with a Bilstein will it mount same as the original on the e450 ?

well I tried to buy the Roadmaster Steering Stabilizer
1. tried to order on Amazon but only the RBK11 brackets were in stock, the RSSC "not currently available"
2. so... RVupgrades took my order, took 2 days to tell me not in stock until late July
3. then... etrailer took my order, took 4 days to tell me not in stock until late July
4. Started calling around, talked with several dealers, the last one said "nobody stocks these, all dropped shipped from factory"
5. Called factory in disbelief... even though they don't sell direct, the person was very nice... she checked and called me back saying, yes, none exist right now, not even a scratched one (I asked) ... and hopefully they will get the parts to make more in the next 4-6weeks...arrrgh
6. I then decided that I was meant NOT to have the RSSC, and that the price difference of the Safe-T-Plus was worth having it safely installed for our three trips upcoming between now and when the RSSC would be available. (oh the magic of justification, especially when justifying my acute immediate gratification problem)
Anyway, installed and thoroughly tested it today... I'm done! ... I have made the MH handle terrifically!... I need do nothing else! ... yippee! ... I had already done the Ingalls caster bushing alignment, 6 new tires, Firestone Airbags, and an Equalizer WDH, and they all made things better, almost good enough .... the Safe-T-Plus made it perfect... Wheel returns to center, drives straight on highway, no whiteknuckles being passed by busses...
