black tank flush system question...

Hey all...

Our new-to-us coach has a black tank flush system...

connect a hose in the wet bay & it flushes inside the tank...

the problem is, it is plugged... when I hook up the hose (after draining the tank) & turn it on, it pressurizes, but no flow...

I'm guessing that the nozzle/nozzles are plugged..??..

any ideas..??..

Thanks...

  • I think my original check (anti-siphon) valve was plastic and it went bad. My dealer replaced it with a brass valve and 9 seasons later it is still going strong.
  • Like Dennis said I would look at the reverse flow check valve first. They get pretty sticky easily, mostly from lack of use.

Mine takes a lot of pressure to get it to open, especially if it hasn't been used for a while. When I use it every week or so it isn't quite as stubborn.
  • Mine has a one way valve installed. Yours may be corroded. On mine, the valve can be unscrewed from the inside, (above the valve itself) and cleaned or replaced. Look where you screw the hose on, you should be able to see how your valve is attached. Most screw on but some are held into place with screws. You may have to remove some of the attached compartment sides to get to it....good luck..Dennis
