- smlrangerExplorerAs noted, Myrtle Beach, SC has plenty of ocean front RV parks. On the south end there is Ocean Lakes, Lakewood and Pirateland. On the north end, there is Myrtle Beach Travel Park. All of them offer ocean front sites. Obviously, they are busy in the summer. Our favorite time to go is spring and fall and it is very nice there.

Don't let anyone try to tell you that there's camping on the beach in Ocean City, Maryland. There is not, and Frontier Town Campground is not near Ocean City's boardwalk or shopping and is not close to the beach.

There is a state park near Bethany that's on the water as well. - LobstahExplorerYou don't mention which part of the East Coast you're interested in, so I'm assuming anywhere with ocean camping?
Salisbury State Reservation is an ideal location, located in Salisbury, Ma. Minutes from both Portsmouth, N.H. and Newburyport, Ma.

Assateaque State Park has camping in Ocean City,MD on the Ocean beach.
Very popular place, tough to get a site during peak season.
For the record Frontiertowne is about 20 minutes from the boardwalk and 10 minutes from the beach in good traffic. - raindoveExplorerAssateague Island has a National Park section and a State Park Section. We camp in the National Park. YOu just walk across the dune and you are on the beach. State park has some loops with electric hookups. National Park has no hookups. They do have a dump station.
In Lewes DE there is Cape Henlopen State Park. Rehoboth, there is Big Oaks CG, but that is a few miles from the beach. There is also Delaware Seashore CG. - darcylpExplorerPreferably on the beach. Thanks for all the info already.
