Love the colors. It's quite a commitment to buy a bright orange van!
I'm not sure that bright colors will sell in the States considering the demographics of the current market. But if it started skewing younger, I can see it.
Once again, maybe Winnebago testing the waters...
No, another Australian B manufacturer called Trakka Motorhomes US Winnebago /Itasca does not sell Motohomes in Australia.
The coloured Vans are sold to an older and younger demographic here. - wincrasher65ExplorerLove the colors. It's quite a commitment to buy a bright orange van!

Back to the color subject, that Travato red in the video looks like a "fire engine" red, not a metallic. To me, that would look cheap vs the wine red metallic.....
The Ram Promaster cargo van comes in 8 color selections including two reds, the Flame Red and the Deep Cherry Red. The Flame Red would be your fire engine red.
Promaster Cargo Van
Similar to what you get here, but they have a golden orange as well. - DavyddExplorer

Well, one reason I bought my Travato was that the kayak could fit inside. Why would I want to put it on the roof then? In fact, there is room for the bike AND a kayak inside. So it's a dumb idea to try to have an old, er, middle age man try to hoist it up on the roof for no good reason.
I was looking at solutions for hoisting two 17 foot long sea kayaks on top of a B. I'm pretty sure you couldn't get one 17 foot sea kayak inside a Travato. :)
At one time a company had a lift system that could work but it was outlandishly expensive. I haven't seen it recently. - wincrasher65ExplorerWell, one reason I bought my Travato was that the kayak could fit inside. Why would I want to put it on the roof then? That special edition Travato desperately begs for 4x4 which is otherwise missing to complete its mission as an active B.
i agree - or at least a lift kit and some off-road style tires. You could probably go most places with just some sand-friendly tires.
But I can't imagine climbing those ladders, getting up on that roof and trying to lower down a kayak - or put one up. How do you do it?
You would have to be young and athletic. I'm not sure there are enough young, athletic and rich people for a market. That market for young and athletic is a used market and there are no used Travatos yet for a few years. ;)
The height is what drove us to inflatable kayaks. I searched for quite a while for a solution for a B with our hard shell sea kayaks but gave up. Most Bs, especially Sprinters, also have to many obstacles on the roof such as AC, elevated awning, antenna, exhaust fan, skylights, etc. - wincrasher65Explorer

Rather an odd description on that video. He remarks on the red interior... and there was nothing red to be seen. Only wood and black/white seat covers. I didn't really like the chrome on the lower side.
He was referring to the cabinet doors - looks like the upper cabinet doors are red - either painted or it's a laminate. Strange considering the wood framing. I think they just tried to do this "prototype" on the cheap. It would have been much cooler if they either did all-color cabinetry, or did some kind of metal/aluminum cabinetry with the colored doors. - mumkinExplorerRather an odd description on that video.
