Cranks but won't start

Older class A Holiday Rambler Ford V-8 gas. It was in storage a couple months, had treated gas with Seafoam. The engine cranks but would not turn over. The cranking battery was a little weak so I charged it with the power cord. The engine started right up. It sat for another week and would not start. I replaced the cranking battery. It would not start. Both my house battery's are dead. I am going to replace them now. My question is do the house batteries have anything to do with starting the motor?
  • Ok thanks... Anyone have an idea where to start with the cranking but won't start?
  • Basically the house batteries are isolated from the starter battery.

However, you may have a 'boost' switch, which takes power from the house batteries to help the starter battery.
