Current Status of Holiday Rambler

We are starting to look at moving to a class A from our current 5er.
We are in the stage of looking at different brands.
I am a little confused about Holiday Rambler. We have looked at a couple of 2015 samples and felt pretty good about what we saw, but I am concerned because the brand seems to have the controlling interest in a state of flux.
Just who owns Holiday Rambler now and what is that groups reputation?
Thanks in advance for any insight.

  • Just a note, ASV also formed ARG.

    Clip:
"Allied Specialty Vehicles Inc. (ASV) announced the formation of Allied Recreation Group Inc. (ARG), with the appointment of John Draheim as CEO for the new group."

Monaco, Holiday Rambler, Fleetwood and American Coach are under that umbrella now (from the article).

  • It is owned by ASV now...you have nothing to worry about..the reputation is all there...and they have their Indiana service going and most importantly their phone support which is all manned by people who were there before the 2009 recession...you are good to go.
  • I have heard only good things about that brand. The warranties are rock solid!
  • Their tech has been up and running for several years. The repair facility in Coburg, OR is great. They only repair in Coburg, no building there. I have been RVing since the 60s. This is the first RV I have purchased with a real honest warranty that is honored everywhere, not just at the dealer. I've been to the Coburg facility. They do great work. They have electric hookups and a dump at the facility. I had 3 warranty issues (not bad for new MH) 2 of those the made arrangement and got me into repair shops close by, while on the road, that didn't even carry the brand. That is because they pay real dollars for their warranty work not discount $$$. Las time I had any warranty service close to this was back in the 80s when Fleetwood issued plastic cards like credit cards to get warranty service just about anywhere. I'd buy another Monaco or HR in a minute. What made it even better was the dealer dumped the MH at almost his cost because he thought they were going to file bankruptsy. Instead they were bought out.
  • From my understanding, Allied Recreation Group (ARG) owns Monaco and Holiday Rambler along with Fleetwood and American Coach.

Their intention is to return Monaco and Holiday Rambler back to their former glory. They will have Cummins engines installed.

I know their Monaco tech support is up and running as they helped me a couple of months ago with a small issue with the leveling system (air). Resetting the system return everything to normal operation.
