Check to see where you have a leak. The sell 134 with a dye that shows up under UV light. It may be just a loose fitting or a Binary or Trinary switch that is leaking and needs to be replaced.
  • The easiest problem to solve is if the system is frozen. Condensation freezes on the evaporator coils and doesn't allow air to pass through. Shut the system off for about ten minutes and then try it again. If it's blowing cold air, you've found the problem. This occurs from high humidity. I've had it happen in a Dodge and a Ford.

  • Is the fan still blowing any air at all? If no fan at all, that can be a blown fuse, bad switch, or bad fan motor.
Another possibility is a leaking heater valve which is allowing hot water to mix with the cold AC air producing warm air out the vents. This can be checked by feeling the water lines going in to your AC box and see if they are hot. If the valve is leaking, you can clamp off the water lines going to and from your heater core for a temporary fix.
  • You are only allowed 1 post with the same problem. You have the WH chassis. If there is a leak in the system there is a cutout switch that will not allow the compressor to run. You need an auto AC guy to look at that part. Probably a leak in the last 11 years.
  • In my chevy truck, I noticed it stopped cooling, not sure if it was compressor or what so I went to Advance Auto, picked up a can of refrigerant called A/C Pro, comes with hose and meter, instructions show all about hook-up, and in approx 15 minutes, after following all instructions, A/C blowing cold again and has been for several months now. Just hope ur compressors not shot. Hope this helps. :)
