- SuzzeeeQ2012ExplorerAs i said we're traveling for 5 months. Can we take a course on the road i doubt it do we'll probably find out everything by the end of our trip
- JagtechExplorerMaybe check the "pilot light" on your oven or water heater?:R
- slickest1ExplorerIt sounds to me like you should get some training on how to operate a motorhome, like a short form of a cdl course. That way you will learn how these coaches operate and you will gain a better understanding of what to watch for. These things are not little cars. Knowledge is safety.

Just thought of something else...you said you "smelled hot" like the brakes. Did you check to ensure you weren't losing coolant. Coolant on the exhaust could smell similar to brakes. I'm guessing you're overheating. Find a safe place to stop and find out what's wrong before continuing. Safety should come first.....Dennis
this is a brake that was looked at before we left. The man said we didn't need to replace the linings. There was oil all over the place, and I have no idea of the details other than that I'll have to ask. So, no, it wasn't the coolant. - SuzzeeeQ2012ExplorerI will try to get a picture of the Engine Pilot light as no one trusts what I saw FIVE times

May I ask why you posted the exact same question three weeks ago on another forum. Of course I am assuming that susieq2013 on the other forum is you

"as we were driving our Endeavor (1999) home yesterday, an orange light on the dash lit up and said "Engine Pilot" and then the engine quit. We were able to start it again, and it didn't repeat.
sure glad to find this message board
Maybe because I didn't get an answer on the other board. the endeavor is NEW to us, and I had no idea what the man was asking.
This Engine Pilot light that lit up, SOMEONE AHS TO HAVE seen it along the line.
I can't find a manual for this motorhome, and googling isn't helping. Monaco took over Holiday Rambler and I called them, and even THEY don't have a manual.
I also don't check this message board constantly, and am sorry that I didn't answer sooner.
sheesh - SuzzeeeQ2012ExplorerWe were busy getting ready and i forgot i posted it wow
- SuzzeeeQ2012ExplorerIt went off on phone not sure if i can get a picture not sure why I'm not believed it said engine pilot. It was the brake that we had worked on
