- Bruce_BrownModeratorOnly the Newmar has Comfort Drive and isn't laminated.
As to the American/Fleetwood reference, the salesman is correct, all the same family and the new owners of Fleetwood have done a good job by most accounts.
Having said that the other 3 have the same owners.
I don't know about the other 2 but at Newmar the same staff builds everything from the Bay Star gasser to the King Aire Diesel. Same people, same construction line, same build method. - wallynmExplorerMost manufactures or companies have a premium brand line. As for American Coach being one of the top brands I would refer you to the OP original question but change the word entry level to premium level.

Just curious if you guys will agree with what a sales person told me earlier today. He was talking about the Fleetwood Bounder and their Pace Arrow entry level diesel pusher. He said that the Fleetwood brand and American Coach are all under one umbrella.
He said that few would argue that American Coach is one of the top diesel brands and they have made the Fleetwood branded products better with their association! He positioned it as another reason to consider a Fleetwood brand.
I have nothing against Fleetwood and frankly know little about them other than I didn't think it stacked up with Newmar and Tiffin. What do you think of the American Coach association thing. Is it a reason to take a closer look at fleetwood? - GoldencrazyExplorerIt so depends on the coach these generalizations are useless.,
- WILDEBILL308Explorer IIWhat your salesman is probably talking about is these brands that use to be separate companies are all under one roof now. AMERICAN COACH, FLEETWOOD RV, HOLIDAY RAMBLER, MONACO are all owned by REV-Group.

- EffyExplorer IIGo to a show, walk through a bunch of entry level coaches and ignore what brand you are in. See if you can tell the difference. IMHO, all entry level coaches are pretty much the same. Any differences is splitting hairs. All have the same chassis, same components, same build, same materials....Pick one you like and a brand that will support you when you have issues. Because you will - on any brand.
- sdianel_-acct_cExplorerDitto Newmar, Tiffin then Winnebago.
- wolfe10ExplorerAlso, when considering entry level, look UNDER the coach as well.
Some have low HP and weaker transmissions. The Allison 3000 would be my pick on an entry level coach. - charlesExplorerOne thing to keep in mind are dealership networks. If you're traveling and need parts or warranty service you want to be somewhat near a dealership.
