Extended warranty

We are looking at purchasing an extended warranty by “U.S. Plus Warranty “
Anyone know of or has used/purchase their warranty from them?
It will be for our 2018 Newmar, Ventana.
  • As a proponent of the Extended Warranty, my advice would be this. First, stop by one or two of your local dealers and ask them which one they prefer. They are the ones that deal with them and will let you know which ones give hassles and which ones are better. Second, read the fine print before you commit. Look for ones that offer a non exclusionary clause. This means they tell you what is NOT COVERED. Everything else is. That way you know exactly what's covered and what's not. Look for the 'weasel' clause - something like "If a covered part fails because of a non covered part failure, the covered part is not covered". Lawyereze for "You are screwed". Third, since your rig is new, there should be coverage on all your 'stuff' from the mfgs. i.e. Dometic, AquaHot, whatever. IMO, extended warranties are good if the mfgs warranties have expired or it's an unknown coach with unknown maintenance done to it, i.e. repo. Personally, I'd pass on an extended warranty on a new coach. Costs vary, but expect around $1k/yr. I used Wholesale Warranties for my last two contracts, both of which paid for themselves....Dennis
  • Not a warranty but a service contract . Make sure you understand what is not covered. Many time if an uncovered part is not covered and it results in damage to a covered part then neither part is covered.

Take it to your favorite repair facility and ask them if they have ever been requested to work with this company for a repair.
  • Ask US Plus Warranty for a blank copy of the policy. Read it and find all the exclusions, you may change your mind about buying.
It's an insurance policy, not a warranty.
  • The op didn't ask for opinions on whether or not to get a warranty he/she asked about a specific company.

Midnightsadie was correct, I also googled them and they don't seem to be the one you want to go with.
  • for fun I googled that company, nothing good to say from anybody. you google it and read for yourself, hope you did not buy from them.
  • x2 if your a little handy,do your own, and when you need help calll a mobil tech. put the cash in a piggy bank.
  • Have very closely read the agreement? Must you be able to prove ontime maintenance?
