Onan advises not to use them, but I have used mine plenty with no problems. I did rig a support chain to take the weight of the Genturi off of the Onan's exhaust pipe, as I think all that weight on the pipe could cause problems.
Onan advises against using any exhaust extensions due to the potential for increased back pressure. But I find it interesting that the Gen-Turi elbow, the only part that is actually attached to the exhaust system, is shorted than and equal to or a larger diameter than the extensions that Onan themselves sell. My take is that the disclaimer is lawyer speak to protect them from improperly engineered homemade extensions.
