- rvtenExplorerWas it working before you cleaned everything?
- THE-RV-MANExplorerEverything should be at it should. Slip rings cleaned and the genny is running perfect like it should. But still not enough power to go into the RV
- Mandalay_ParrExplorerIf the field current is not high enough, low voltage will result.
Don't know all what you did but maybe the field is wired wrong.
Is the field current supplied through the slip rings?
Are the slip ring brushes seated good?
Is the generator running at the correct speed?
Jerry - MrWizardModerator60vac, will NOT run anything
you have power, BUT not enough power - Canadian_RainbiExplorer

Yes.
Is your meter on the DC scale and not AC? It almost seems that you are getting half wave rectified voltage. - THE-RV-MANExplorerYes.

:H - THE-RV-MANExplorerCord is plugged in and the switches are on. When I turn on the genny I here the beep from the microwave but no light, no air conditioner either. :(

Do you have a transfer switch or do you have to plug your shore plug into the generator for power?
Double check. I was in hurry to beat traffic one time and folded up the cord to plug in later. Couldn't get any power when at boondock campground, went nuts trying to find problem for no elec. Then remembered after checking breakers and breaker on genny itself etc. OH ya now I remember, I stuffed the cord in and didn't plug it in. - THE-RV-MANExplorerEverything works good on shore power.
