Is plugging the shorepower cord into the onboard generator standard operating procedure?
I've always (mistakenly?) thought there was already some direct connection to the RV systems-?
On my 2003 Dutchman 23J Class C My shore power cord was in a small compartment to itself. When I wanted my genny to power the coach I had to plug the shore power cord into a 30amp recepticle that was inside the compartment.
I don't think this is a genny issue as it wouldn't run without putting out power, the computer would shut the genny down. I'm leaning towards it being a connection issue (breaker, plug, faulty transfer switch) after the generator.
