Ground Faults Circuits are off

We have a Winnebago Sightseer 2012 33C. The galley plug and bathroom plug plus the bedroom plug by the head of the bed and the plug under the pull out buffet table are all off. There are ground fault plugs in the bathroom and under the pull out table in the buffet. Neither one of these ground faults are resetting the circuit. Does anyone know if there is another ground fault plug somewhere. The outside plug on the passenger side is not a ground fault. Are these all on the same circuit or is there 2 separate circuits since there is 2 ground fault plugs. I didn't think you need 2 ground fault plug ins for one circuit.

  • Did you check the power to the unit?50 amp. or 30 amp.?you may have only 1/2 power coming into the unit?
  • Check your inverter...one of the switches could be tripped there...that might cut off power to the thermostat and the outlets you are talking about.
  • We just discovered that the rear AC unit won't come on either. Front one is working. Does anyone know if by chance the AC unit could be on the GFI circuit. Very weird.
  • Bad GFI - needs to be replaced? We had one that did that once. Once we replaced it, it did reset the circuit.
  • Sounds like you don't have full power coming into the rig.
If your hooked up to a 50 amp outlet maybe one leg is dead.
If you hooked up to a 30 amp outlet you will need to check that the circuit breaker are really working. If they have tripped, which I doubt
you might need to turn them fully off than back on to reset.

I'm sure that your entire RV is GF protected. If you have two GF outlets, then each take care of 1/2 of your RVs wiring.
The GF will not reset if you don't have shorepower or the generator running adding power to the system.
If you have power to the system, then check your breakers on your electrical panel. Turn them completely off and back on to make sure you have a good set.

We discovered the problem when we connected to shore power for the night on our stop and the galley appliances didn't come on. We have power on at least 3 plug ins. We checked the breakers and all seem to be set good.

I have found 5 plugs not working and 3 plugs that are working.
