Group 45 deep cycle battery

So, this is an odd sized battery, but that is what fits under the hood for my house battery. Anyone have any suggestions on brand of deep cycle they like, if I can find it in that Group #45?

First be sure that your house battery disconnect switch is not in the OFF position.

After that you need a multi-meter to check, for instance, to see if you are getting 110 V AC at the input of the converter/charger. If yes, and there is no 12 V output, then the converter or a fuse in/on it has blown or the converter has gone bad.
  • Just to fill everyone in. The wheelchair battery was too small in my opinion, so I went w/ a group 45 starter battery. I know it's not optimal, but for this season, it should work. I will try this fall to relocate the battery to a compartment, so I can put a regular deep cycle in there for best performance. • I think a Gp 22 will fit and is a common deep cycle AGM for wheelchairs.
But I have to say both the 45 and 22 are small for a house battery, maybe 55 amp hrs or so.

This Chart of BCI Battery Dimensions might help you. Can you modify the battery box/mounting to use a more popular size, like a Group 24 or 27? By "Popular" I'm thinking of the Deep Cycle/Trolling Motor batteries I see at Walmart.

What brand and model of C do you have with the HOUSE battery under this hood of the truck ???

Its a Damon Ultrasport, 1994. Many of the Damon models have the house and chassis batteries under the hood.
