Hazard Lights not Working - 2006 Fleetwood Pace Arrow 37c

I recently had an issue with my tow dolly where there was a short on one of my lights which caused some fuses to blow in the coach. I found the blown fuses and now all lights are now functioning but the hazard light function does not work. That is when I turn the hazards on, nothing happens; no lights, no flashing. I found a flash unit under the dash. Is it possible that it fried and would that cause my current symptoms?

My coach is a 2006 Fleetwood Pace Arrow 37c on a W24 Workhorse Chassis with the GM 8.1 engine and Allison tranny.

Thanks!
  • On my 2006 W24 the hazard flasher fuse is upfront under the hood in the large chassis fuse box. My turn signal fuse is under the dash. Check the WH manual for a Hazard fuse up front.
  • Well if its like a car then easiest way to see if its the flasher or fuse is too turn hazards on and hit the brake pedal, if it has power to the flasher then the turn signals will light on the dash as well as both front turnsignals on the RV.... If they dont light up then check the fuse
  • As a mechanic I would go first to the flashers and find the one for the 4 ways. Now you want power on both terminals of the 4 way cause it takes load to make flash. If power on both sides then go to switch. MOHO
  • ON a W22 there is a 20a fuse for hazards in the external fuse block actually page 4-74 in the 2005 WH w and P series manual shows W24 in the same external Fuse block
  • Them little minie fuses are hard to see and so a test light is best. Yes, signal lights and 4 way flashers are on two different circuits. You can test the fuses thru a small pin hole in the top for each contact. You need a test light in the MH anyway. I would first find the correct flasher and see if it has power. You want the flasher button in or out as it is on some to test the flashers.

Take a test light and check for power at the flasher. If power then fuse is good. Then start checking where bulbs are plugged in and work your way to the frt. If no power at flasher take test light and test all fuses. My 04 has fuses outside under hood and also under dash. If fuses are good and no power at flasher the next thing is turn signal switch. Don't go by a fuse looks good. Use 12 volt test light. Power should run from fuse to switch to flasher to bulbs. Hope this helps

Signal lights work for right/left turn signals which I presume are the same lights for hazards. When I push the hazard light button I get nothing, lights don't blink. All lighting works as it should except the Hazard Lights. I will double check all fuses as that's what I think is blown somewhere in one of the fuse locations.

  • I found the flasher and replaced it but still no hazards so I am guessing am missing a fuse. Is anybody familiar with The Fleetwood Pace Arrow 37c on the Workhorse chassis to know which fuse I need to check for the hazards? All other lights and functions work properly, driving lights, license plate lights, side markers, top running lights, front running lights and signals.

Replace the flasher. You should have 2. One for the turn signals...the other the 4-ways. Might be the same model. Any car store.

As he says you have two. To make sure you have the right one just hold your hand on it and turn the left or right blinker on and if it blinks you have the wrong one. The one that's not working won't make a sound our vibrate in your hand.
