I Have direcTV in the house and take a receiver from the house to the motor home when we leave. A year or so ago I had to replace one of my receivers and Direct wanted to provide a new HD capable receiver, even though I do not have HD now am I do not want it, rather than the old type. Not sure how or if the new receivers work with my motor home. Talking to Direct contractors since I understand that Direct does not even make the old receivers any more and only have HD capable receivers whether one has HD or SD.

right from the DTV web site
My receiver was so old that we kept getting a message stating due to techogological miniumns, that it wouldn't receive signal in the near future. I callled DTV and they sent me a replacement non HD receiver, it came with coxial connectons, as well as hdmi & RCA plugs.
We changed it out in Aug 2013 - Roman_DuckExplorerJust wait DTV will have bluetooth shortly
- mtrumpetExplorerI have an inexpensive box that I bought from Radio Shack a few years ago to do just what the OP needs to do. It takes the (RCA) Video and outputs it through Coax. The initial intent of this box was to use video games with the coax input on the TV. Unfortunately, I don't have the model number of the unit as I'm at work and the unit is in the MH. I checked the Radio Shack website, but couldn't find it. As it is this particular unit is a few years old, it's has probably been replaced with a newer, updated unit anyway. I'd have to think that if you stopped by a Radio Shack, they might have something on the shelf to do what you need to do.

right from the DTV web site - CA_TravelerExplorer IIIOP, If what you want is to convert the receiver RCA output to coax input for the TV then there are a variety of converters available at electronic stores or Google. I use one at home with a coax to a kitchen TV. Mine was composite to coax and cost about $20. So cheap but not easy to run the coax but DW is happy!

What connector did you use to hook up to the dish? What model receiver did you get?
Out to the Tv will be either a HDMI, S-video, Component, Composite.
Here is a link with pictures off their web site.

Hes not talking/asking about COAX INPUT he,s asking about COAX OUTPUT
Actually, if you look again, you'll see he is asking about coax input too as he talks about his Sat dish. I do think he's probably just confused as I have a new Directv box and in fact it does still use coax for the input from the Sat Dish and then for output you have a choice of HDMI, RCA, or S-Video. I'm sure the OP has the same.
I gave him the benifit of the doubt because ALL sat receivers use coax in.Its the new HD receivers which are starting to eliminate coax out.I read his OP and Iam pretty sure he talking about the TV wire system.Like I said in my first post unless he has HD Sat system and HD TV system there,s no point in this receiver and what,s "simple" and "Cheap" is to get the standard 69$ Digital receiver - Executive45Explorer IIISorry, EASY and CHEAP are usually not used in the same sentence....:B....Dennis
- 2oldmanExplorer IIPerhaps OP should dump that 20yo tube tv and get a new one.
