- PghBobExplorerHad our Class C 4 corner weighed at the FMCA Rally in Gillette this past summer. We were loaded up for a five week trip out in the western states. We came in with over 1000 pounds of CCC to spare.
Bob - BordercollieExplorerYou'll have to run a poll and weight it for people who just don't reply. Those who do will reply.
- maillemakerExplorerI weighed mine. It was nice piece of mind to know I was not overloaded.

My suspicion is that the owners that should weigh their unit do not. They then complain about handling problems, ride, and failures of something or another. Having the weights should not be scary, but informational as to what you may wish to change.
I understand the need to know your vehicles weight and the max capacity. But I am just trying to find out how many MH owners actually weigh their rig as suggested?
I weighed ours within a month of our purchase. Changed the tire air pressure and got a pleasant surprise in a quieter smoother ride.
GAWR (front) = 4,300 lbs, actual 3,260 lbs
GAWR (rear) = 8,600 lbs, actual 5,760 lbs
Total actual 9,020 lbs
GVWR = 12,300 lbs
GCVWR = 16,000 lbs - Mich_FExplorer

We weigh ours (w/toad) before the first rip of the year, after the last trip of the year and before any trip that will exceed 1K miles.
I don't see the need to ever weigh mine again. We weighed it fully loaded. We were only on a 3 day trip, but I can't think of anything I could possibly add, even on a much longer trip, that get me anywhere close to my weight limits. - Mich_FExplorer

Weighed ours and as I suspect for many, we were shocked. The Escapade series is a non-slide coach with few extras and no basement storage. Front Axle came up 95+% of rating and 33% of total weight. Rear was also 95+%. From that, I find it hard to believe that any 29-30-31-32-foot Class C's with even one slide are NOT overloaded.
The front axle loading also confirmed why I believe our long wheelbase (218-inches) contributes to decent handling on the road. It shifts "house" weight to the front axle instead of balancing it on the rear axle.
You have to take into consideration that your GVWR is 14,050, while the newer E450s are 14,500# GVWR. I believe yours has a 4,600# front axle and a 9,450# rear axle (totaling that same 14,050#) The newer E450s have 5,000# front axles and 9,600# rear axles (adding up to 100# over the GVWR). - Navy_SmokerExplorerWe weigh ours (w/toad) before the first rip of the year, after the last trip of the year and before any trip that will exceed 1K miles.
