This is a coincidentally timely topic for me. Our Dutch Star came with a Uline under counter mounted ice maker. We use it all the time. Just this past weekend however, it conked out. While I still have to get it out and have a closer look at, it seems like the compressor may have gone south. Just for the heck of it, I went on line to price out new units to replace it if it comes to it. The prices on the new units to replce the one that I have run any where from $900.00+ to about $1100.00! :E Granted, it's nice convenience that we used often, but for that kind of money, I can buy a LOT of bags of ice!
