The connection on the inside is behind bed room tv nad is list lnb 1 and lnb 2. My question is are all the tv's connected.

  • I actually had an apointmentat camping world to install satellite in my Precept 31UL and they could not do it since they did not know, how to get to the TV's.
Did anybody run a HDMI cable from the bedroom closet to the installed main TY or the outside TV ?
I got the wiring diagram from Jayco, but I don't know where some of the components are (e.g. A/V distribution panel 0194348).
Did anybody already figure out how to get to the connections of the main TV in the dining area ?
  • Jayco runs ONLY Coax to the 40 inch TV's and they stated you have to use a Video Converter that takes the yellow/red/white from the Sat receiver and converts to Coax to get Sat reception on the 2 large TV's . So, you will NOT be able to utilize the HD capability of the TV's or the Sat Dome system on the 2 40 inch TV's for Sat reception. Doug

Jayco sent me a wiring diagram that shows the spot on the roof to drill the hole and fish the cable out and 12v wire also. It is located in to front of first a/c. I would attach on here but don't know how. If antone needs them e-mail me and I will forward. hcourville@bop.gov
    Thanks for the help

Thats good, but what about supplying the signal to the 3 TV's??? Doug

  • You need to Contac Jayco. The Precept is a brand new model for 2014 and who knows how Jayco wired the TV's. We have 2 on the lot and have not sold them yet, so it is difficult to determine what Jayco did. Doug

I called Jayco and typical Jayco, they have NO CLUE. I looked at our 31UL. You should have the 2 40 inch TV's and the small LCD in the bedroom. I see NO extra cables (video/HDMI/Component/Coax) at all. the ONLY TV that you can easily hook up is the bedroom TV and run your own cable. It seems the dash DVD system supplies Video for all 3 TV's. I have NOT verified that. The Video for the Bedroom is the Standard Yellow(video) and Red and White Audio. I assume that the 40 inch TV's are supplied the same. They are not using HDMI or Component cables for the Dash DVD player. I have requested a Schematic for this 31UL unit to see. The Schematic they sent me 30 minutes ago is the generic dash DVD/2 TV wire schematic. It does not show the roof top prewire and the 3rd TV. If you do not care about resolution, you can connect all 3 TV's to the coax rewiring the TV booster coax in the bedroom. IF you do not care about HD reception on the sat system, then you will have no problem by rewiring the Coax at the bedroom TV area. You will just have to have a NON HD Sat receiver. MOST HD sat receivers do not have a Coax output. Some older HD Sat receivers had a Coax output.

The Sat dish/dome will feed a Sat receiver (directTV or dish). From the receiver you can only have one output. You can split them into 2 tv's but whatever is on the receiver is what you will get on all tv's downstream. Change the channel, they all change. If you have multiple TV's they may already be linked via switch box. in that case, feed the out from the reciever to the in on the switch box. It won't solve the problem of whatever is on the one receiver will be the same on all tv's downstream but it does provide the signal to all tv's. You may need a remote repeater in this case if your bedroom TV is out of line of sight from the receiver. If you want seperate channels on each tv, you will need seperate Sat receivers. I am not sure if one dome will feed multiple receivers. maybe someone else can answer that.
