intermediate low dc voltage

I am having intermediate low dc voltage shutting done the norcold 1200 frig and the outside entry light by the door. I can use the controls on the frig. to restart it and the outside light works. The voltage reads 12.6 volts. All the DC lights will go dim than go bright in a second for two. All the AC items like the TV and microwave are working fine. Any ideas???
  • I unplugged the converter DC went dead. plugged it back on, had DC. Cleaned all the battery connections. Unplugged the converter again, everything worked ok. Plugged the converter back in, so far so good.
  • The battery wont hold the voltage up to say, 13.X if the converter shuts down for a few seconds, especially if there's any real load. Then the converter kicks back in and supplies even higher voltage to charge again. Lights go bright and dim as the converter spirals to its grave.
I would be ready to shut down the converter and use a battery charger to keep the battery up when the converter finally gives out.
  • "intermittent" ?

sounds lie a converter problem and your battery is also dying

battery should hold voltage up if the converter (disconnected)

bad converter will kill the battery, because of Undercharging

First check to make sure the battery(s) are Ok and if all is well there, it's time to shop for a new converter.
