Inverter with no output.

My Magnum 2000 watt inverter has no output of 110 volts on the output wires. Error light is on and both breakers on inverter are not tripped. Batteries have 13 volts. Any ideas?
  • Disconnect the inverter from the DC power. Turn the inverter on. Wait ten to thirty minutes. Turn the inverter off. Reconnect to DC power. Make sure there are no loads on the inverter. Turn the inverter on.
  • Disconnect the inverter from the batteries for ten minutes
    See if it will reset
  • The first thing you have to do is clear the error light. There is a procedure in your Magnum operator manual. You will not get any output with the error light on.

You can get an error for a number of reasons, one of them being an over temp condition on the FET's or a battery over temp.
  • Have you checked to make sure you have 13 VDC feeding the inverter?

Is this a cig lighter inverter or two clamps? Also did you check mfg website for reset procedures?
