Jamboree 26Q electrical outlets "dead" in bedroom

Hello RV enthusiasts - We have a Jamboree 26Q and the electrical outlets in the bedroom have stopped working. We reset the GFCI connection in the bathroom and the one next to the sink. The manual said something about a "patio" GFCI connection but we can't seem to locate that one.

Anyone have any suggestions? Everything else seems to be working, just the electrical outlets in the bedroom won't work.

Thanks

Doug
  • IAMICHABOD it was the breaker - the 2nd one down like you said! It looked like it was in the proper place but when I pushed it I could tell it wasn't where it was supposed to be! Popped it off then back on and now we have electricity back there. Thank you thank you - we are in Homer Alaska and the repair options are somewhat limited.

PapPappy thank you for your input as well - wasn't needed for this particular repair but I will keep in it mind if I have future electric problems.
  • do you have an inverter? if so it may well have a breaker or two on it that is "down stream " of the panel breakers
  • Thanks for the suggestions - I'll give them a try and let you know if anything works.
  • I don't know what year you have, but in my 2006 26Q the circuit breaker that controls the rear bedroom is the second one from the top.

    like this.

I would snap all of them, hard, off and on. Then check the outlets.

As for the patio GFI all I have is an outside receptacle on the passenger side and it is not a GFI but is connected to the one above the sink.
I hope this helps, let us know if that works.
  • The patio GFI may be in the little access door by the side of the entry door, if you have an entertainment system.

It could also be that the outlets (or at least the first one in the string) has a bad connection....or even a bad outlet (remember, these are purchased by the mfgr and are often the cheapest they could find, to save money)
If you pull the plate, and inspect / tighten the connections, you may be back in business:)
Get a multimeter, and once you have the cover off, check to see if you have voltage. I would have the breaker off (or disconnect shore power when working with it). If you have voltage to the outlet, but not "in" the outlet, replace the outlet(s).

Have you had any issues with mice/squirrels chewing wires? They can do a job on these things!!

    Good luck:)
